- Yesterday morning, Lucas pulled his feeding tube out
- His nasal cannula was essentially falling out so they took it off to see how he'd do off O2
- He fed most of the daytime orally, and had the feeding tube reinserted late in the evening since he was getting tired and needed more food to keep his energy up.
- His oxygen level is stable and he is essentially breathing on his own, with a few dips which he self corrects
- Today, he continued to feed orally (either breast or bottle) for 30 mins and then finished up what he couldn't eat through the tube.
- He eats more in the morning and during the day than late at night and in the middle of the night
- Today he was weaned to 0.1 ml of morphine from 0.15ml; such a small amount, but it really affected him. We gave him tylenol to help, but we'll see if he needs a small dose of morphine to help with his withdrawal
- It was hard to see my child suffer and all I can do was hold him and try to comfort him as much as I can
Here's a picture of Grammie with Lucas, shortly after she got into Seattle yesterday. Good night.
