Hi all,
I realized that I sort of created a cliff hanger here. If you followed the blog and we haven't talked to you for a while then I need to fill you in on how Lucas is doing.
After he got back from the hospital we had about a month and a half of working with his weight. He simply didn't gain much. But, we tracked his intake and his morning and evening weight. What we discovered was he ate about 30% more than most kids but, just couldn't digest it. It really was the bile and the liver. He didn't produce enough to break down the fats so he wasn't getting enough calories. From it. After we talked to the GI specialist we realized that we didn't need to worry about his intake so then we were just tracking his weight.
He would gain about 1/2 an ounce a day. Normal babies are suppose to gain at a rate of 1 ounce a day. This went on until mid February and we had a week where he just stopped gaining weight. And then the liver kicked on and the bile began to flow.
He started gaining at 1.5 ounces a day. In fact he was putting on a pound a week. Now he is something like 14 pounds and seems to have slowed down. But, his growth chart is bazaar. He dips down and the pops up through percentiles. Regardless he is now normal. So here are some fun pictures so you now get a chance to see what he looks like.
Thanks tons for following along with us and giving us support.

Thanks for the sweet pictures! I hope to see him join Tessa at co-op sometime soon :)
